It seems like the number one question everyone has always revolves around shipping so here is a summary of our shipping policies. First, shipping is not a profit center for our company like it is for many of our competitors. We simply hope over time to break even on the cost. Let’s face it the more we charge you the less likely you are to do business with us.
Available Shipping Methods
Purple Turtle Gifts preferred shipping partner is the US Postal services Priority Mail. Typically, priority mail is the quickest most economical way of shipping items. They provide tracking numbers just like the other services. We also offer express mail services for fast delivery times. If you simply must have UPS we offer most UPS shipping options as well. For those of you in the Columbia, SC area or for those passing through we also offer convenient pick up service. For those orders drop shipped directly from our suppliers they will use their preferred shipping partners. Your shipping cost will be adjusted as needed.
Delivery to PO Boxes
We ship most of our items via the United States Postal Service, and thus can ship most orders to post office boxes. For those items listed as being drop shipped it is important that you also provide us with a physical address so ship your package since many of them use other services.
The shipping information you provide is automatically entered into the shipping labels we print and put on the packages. Thus, it is vitally important you review the shipping address you have provided and inform us as soon as possible if errors are made. Purple Turtle Gifts cannot be held responsible for delays or lost shipments caused by inaccurate or incomplete shipping information provided to us. Furthermore, additional shipping cost may be incurred if an item is returned to us to be shipped to another address.
Calculation of Shipping Cost
To find out the cost of shipping before proceeding to checkout, add an item to your cart. From the shopping cart page you right below the total cost of the products in your cart there will be a line called shipping. Next to that there is a link you can select to enter information about where you are shipping the items. Enter the information to bring up your available shipping options.
Drop Shipped Items
From time to time in order to save shipping cost we have items directly shipped from our suppliers to you the customer. What this means to you is that if you purchase multiple items from us on one order and at least one of them is a drop ship item then there is a high likelihood your order will arrive in multiple boxes and possibly on different dates. You will not be charged any additional fees or a higher rate of shipping on orders that are shipped this way. Furthermore, most of our vendors ship via UPS. Thus we will need a physical address for delivery. If you select the cheaper priority mail you will not be charges extra if your package is shipped via UPS. If you need expedited or express shipping services for delivery of a drop shipped items please contact one of our customer service representatives to find out if that is possible and if so what the cost and terms are.
Free or Reduced Shipping
From time to time Purple Turtle Gifts will offer free or reduced freight. Taking advantage of this is a great way to save on the cost of shipping. You can combine your purchases with friends, family or co-workers to save even more. All free or reduced freight offers are for regular ground transportation via US Priority mail or other carrier selected by Purple Turtle Gifts within the continental United States.
Re-purposed or Recycled Boxes & Packing Material
In order to help keep shipping cost down and to help the environment Purple Turtle Gifts is committed to reusing or recycling boxes and packing materials whenever possible. Thus, it is not unusual for customer to get a variety of boxes from our suppliers and customers in addition to our normal Priority Mail and UPS packing supplies.
